Vouvray to Saumur

From Vouvray to Saumur in this famous terroir,  where the vineyards create a dramatic landscape as they follow the  banks of the mighty Loire river, you will have the opportunity to degust sparkling, rose, white and red wine. We will take you to a variety of caves where you will meet the local producers all of whom are passionate and knowledgeable about their wine.

Taking you along the valley to sample the Loire wines on a 3 night stay package. You will start your day with a full continental breakfast and come back to a four course evening meal each day.

Day 1:   When your arrival time from Tour airport allows, we will chauffer you to your first degustation in Vouvray where you will experience sparkling and white wines. From there you will then be driven to your residence for the three nights where you will be shown to your accommodation and once settled served with a four course evening meal.

Day 2:   Leaving around 10.30, having had a freshly made continental breakfast, we will be heading alongside la Loire to the small appellation of Saumur Champigny via the ‘beau village de France’ Candes St Martin. We will stop along the way to have lunch and sit and watch the world go by.  Your tour will also take you to the impressive town of Saumur. We will return home to a four course evening meal.

Day 3:   You will start your day with breakfast and depart around  10.30 to visit our local mediaeval town of Chinon famous not only for it’s wine, but also influential figures such as Joan of Arc and Rabelais. There are plenty of places from which to choose where to buy your lunch. After your first wine experience in Chinon we will continue our journey along the Vienne to visit further communes within the Chinon appellation before returning ‘Chez Nous’ for the evening meal.

Day 4:  After your continental breakfast it is time to bid ‘au revoir’. Depending on your departure time we will take you to Tours airport via the delightful little town of Azay le Rideau where you can buy lunch at a typical French restaurant.



500 Euros per person for this four day (three night) experience based on 2 people sharing a room. Maximum of 6 people. Available all year round.
